therapeutic massage

Life’s demands, daily habits, and unresolved tension can leave us feeling stiff, sore, and out of alignment. Whether it’s from desk work, old injuries, or the stresses of daily life, therapeutic massage offers a space to rest, restore, and reconnect with your body. Therapeutic massage works holistically, addressing both the physical and emotional layers of tension. It soothes tired and aching muscles, calms the nervous system, and helps bring your body back into balance. This tailored approach meets you where you are, helping with issues like:

  • Back Pain Relief: Easing chronic tension and stiffness in the lower and upper back.

  • Neck, Shoulder, and Upper Back Tension: Perfect for desk workers or those dealing with posture-related discomfort.

  • Stress Relief: Bringing calm to your body and mind to help you unwind.

  • Situational Stress: Offering support during periods of emotional or physical overwhelm.

  • Exercise-Related Injuries: Helping muscles recover and improving mobility.

  • Tension Headaches: Releasing tightness in the neck and shoulders that can contribute to headaches.

This treatment is about more than just physical relief. It works to release the patterns and habits held in your body, supporting better movement, greater ease, and a deeper sense of wellbeing. Therapeutic massage is a time for you—to relax, rebalance, and let your body find its way back to comfort and alignment.

I came to her because of back and neck tension and pain but her treatments have also been able to help with stomach and digestive issues which I was not expecting. My treatment time is also an oasis of calm away from the busy-ness of everyday life. I wish I could come more often!”

Frequently asked questions

  • Come in whatever you feel comfortable preferably with a warm layer to put on after your massage. For the massage itself you will stay in your underwear and will be covered with towels to maintain your modesty.

  • Don’t worry if this is your first massage, We will begin with a conversation to understand what is going on for you and so I can answer any questions and walk you through the treatment. This is a deeply relaxing massage that will focus on whatever is most appropriate for you. The pressure, pace and areas of focus are all adapted to suit you.

  • It’s best to avoid food for a couple of hours before treatment and to give yourself a few hours after treatment to rest without diving back into a heavy schedule. Please don’t consume alcohol or recreational drugs prior to treatment as I wont be able to treat you if this is the case. Other than that there is nothing to do but carve out some precious time for yourself to relax.

  • This massage is all about time and space for you but if you have very young children and separation anxiety is a worry then feel free to bring someone to your treatment who can sit with them whilst you enjoy some space and time to yourself.

  • You can book a 60 or 90 minute treatment and ideally allow yourself a little time before hand so you don’t feel rushed and a few hours after to allow the treatment to settle.
