therapeutic massage
Your body isn’t simply made up of isolated parts. Your whole body-mind organism is a inter-related entity. How we are emotionally is reflected in the fabric of our muscles and bones.
We store unresolved emotions in the body that create tension and pain. Injuries in one area can ripple out into others and create ongoing chronic symptoms. Our habitual patterns of moving, sitting and working can leave us with stiffness, discomfort and issues of mobility. When exercise, generic massage or analgesics have limited effect, your body needs a deeper level of care and nourishment. Therapeutic massage works with you in a truly holistic way, bringing deep rest to your nervous system, relief to tired and aching muscles and realignment to your whole system.

Don’t worry if this is your first massage, We will begin with a conversation to understand what is going on for you and so I can answer any questions and walk you through the treatment. It’s best to avoid food for a couple of hours before treatment and to give yourself a few hours after treatment to rest without diving back into a heavy schedule. Please don’t consume alcohol or recreational drugs prior to treatment as I wont be able to treat you if this is the case. Other than that there is nothing to do but carve out some precious time for yourself to relax.

This massage is all about time and space for you but if you have very young children and separation anxiety is a worry then feel free to bring someone to your treatment who can sit with them whilst you enjoy some space and time to yourself.
